Jamshedpur, Oct 15: The BJP Jamshedpur Mahanagar has expressed strong support for the Election Commission’s announcement to hold two phases of voting in Jharkhand. District President Sudhanshu Ojha welcomed this decision, stating that the departure of the JMM-Congress-RJD coalition government is certain and predicting a significant victory for the BJP-NDA in all four assembly seats of Jamshedpur. Ojha criticized the Hemant Soren-led government, claiming it has failed in every aspect during its five-year tenure. He emphasized that the public feels betrayed by unfulfilled promises, particularly regarding employment opportunities for youth and safety for women. “The Hemant government has perpetrated the biggest fraud against the youth by failing to deliver on its promise of five lakh jobs,” Ojha asserted.
The BJP leader also highlighted the government’s failure to ensure women’s safety, noting a troubling rise in crime rates against women. He lamented the lack of attention to the needs of the elderly and farmers, pointing out that promises of increasing pension amounts have been ignored. Additionally, Ojha accused Chief Minister Hemant Soren of betraying the tribal community, arguing that the government has not taken meaningful steps for their development, while incidents of crimes against tribal women have surged.
Concerns were also raised about the condition of labourers in the state. Ojha claimed that the Hemant government has neglected their interests and failed to provide relief during economic crises, leading to growing discontent among workers. Highlighting issues of corruption, he alleged that the ruling government prioritizes personal gain over public welfare, contributing to the deteriorating situation in Jharkhand.
In a sharp critique of Congress leader Dr. Ajoy Kumar, Ojha dismissed his statements as “Mungerilal’s sweet dreams,” accusing him of misleading the public about the Hemant government’s performance. He expressed confidence in the BJP’s potential victory, stating that the people of Jharkhand are ready for change and will support the BJP-NDA in the upcoming elections. Ojha urged voters not to be swayed by false promises and instead embrace the BJP’s commitment to development and good governance in the state.
