Ranchi, Oct 31: A meeting of the Chambers of Commerce lasting about three hours took place on Tuesday. Participants included the IMA President, State President of the Petroleum Department, Chemist and Druggist President, and businessmen from various institutions. During the meeting, Dhanbad’s businessmen announced the indefinite closure of the city’s markets starting from November 1. Medicine shops and petrol pumps will remain open only for emergencies. This decision was made during a meeting of businessmen from across the district organized by Dhanbad Chambers, with the support of 55 chambers.

Posters supporting the shutdown have been displayed in various locations in the city. The Chamber of Commerce points out that due to police negligence, the city’s crime rate has increased, and businessmen have become targets, with criminals openly issuing threats.

The Incident:

On the night of October 28th, around 8:45 PM, Deepak Agarwal, the owner of an establishment named ‘Car Centre,’ was shot while in his shop in the Bank Mod police station area of Dhanbad.
