Jharkhand CM’s Khatiyani Johar Yatra to reach Jamshedpur on Jan 31

Ranchi, January 3: Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren, after the success of the first phase of the Khatiyani Johar Yatra which ended in mid-December, will commence second phase of the yatra from January 17.

“Due to the attachment and unprecedented enthusiasm of the common people of Jharkhand towards the young Chief Minister of Jharkhand the second phase of the yatra will start from Koderma on January 17,” said a release issued by JMM central committee on Tuesday.

 The itinerary of the yatra is as follows: Koderma on January 17, Giridih on January 18, Simdega on January 23, Chaibasa in West Singhbhum on January 24, Seraikela-Kharsawan on January 31 and East Singhbhum on January 31 in the second phase of Khatiyani Johar Yatra.

“In this sequence, for the preparation of ‘Khatiyani Johar Yatra’, the extended meeting of West Singhbhum and Simdega District Committee was held on Tuesday at the party’s central office (camp) at Harmu, Ranchi, under the leadership of senior party leader Vinod Kumar Pandey.

Presiding over the meeting, office bearers of district committees of West Singhbhum and Simdega districts, members of central committee presented their views and various points were discussed for the success of Khatiyani Johar Yatra.

The meeting was attended by minister Joba Majhi, Chaibasa MLA Deepak Biruli, Majhgaon MLA Niral Purti, Kharswan MLA Dashrath Gagarai, Chakradharpur MLA Sukhram Oraon, West Singhbhum secretary Sonaram Devgam, Simdega district president Anil Kandulna and secretary Safikul Islam Khan attended the meeting.

During the yatra Chief Minister will review development related works at the district level and take stock of the actual progress by visiting various districts in person along with surprise visits to any department of the district. Besides this, blanket distribution shall also be done amongst the poor by the Chief Minister.

In the course of the district level review, the Chief Minister will seeks details about status of School of Excellence, Model Schools, Government Schools, Health Centres, Hospitals, Hostels, drinking water-supply, conditions of roads and bridges, irrigation facilities, Anganwadi Centres, Public Distribution System( PDS) shops, as well as other basic facilities related to common people.

Hemant Soren will also directly interact with people to know if the welfare schemes are reaching the people properly.
