Coverage of CM Jan Arogya Yojana for PDS beneficiaries
Ranchi, February 2: Under the directions of the Chief Minister Hemant Soren the process of providing ration cards to those who have been so far deprived of it is being accelerated in a mission mode through the PDS Shashaktikaran (empowerment) Pakhwada (fortnight) from February 1.
The campaign will be organised from February 1-14 across all the districts and aims to connect 20 lakh persons. This would entail initiatives for the correction of Aadhar details in ration cards, deletion of the names of beneficiaries registered across multiple ration cards, removal of the names of the deceased, identification of beneficiaries not receiving food grains for several months, verification of duplicate Aadhar number besides a host of other people-centric measures. Steps are also being taken to extend benefits to the beneficiaries of Daal-Bhaat centers (from where foods are distributed to poor for Rs 5 per plate) through Daal-Bhaat apps and to pace-up the transition of offline dealers (in network shadow areas) to online in a seamless manner.
Instructions have also been issued to connect all the beneficiaries under the ambit of Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojana.
In a release issued by the chief minister’s secretariat following the CM’s directive, utmost priority is being given to secure better health facilities for the residents of the state of Jharkhand. To strengthen this, instructions have been given to make free Ayushman cards through e-KYC of the beneficiaries covered under Ayushman Bharat Mukhya Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana at a rapid pace.
