Jharkhand CM nods for action against officials

Ranchi, June 7: As soon as the Lok Sabha elections are over, the Champai Soren government of Jharkhand is seen in action mode.

The chief minister has approved departmental action against four officers of Jharkhand. Out of these, two officers have retired from service. Departmental action has been allowed by the CMO against Ram Pravesh Kumar, Chandrashekhar Singh, Awadhesh Kumar Pandey and Dr. Ashok Kumar Pathak.

According to the CMO, departmental action has been approved against the then block officer of Jharkhand Administrative Service (4th Limited Batch) Ram Pravesh Kumar. In the case in which action has been taken against him, at that time Ram Pravesh Kumar was the block officer in Baliapur, Dhanbad. Presently he is the block Officer in Karamatand, Jamtara district. The state government has approved the proposal to impose the penalty of stopping one pay increment with non-cumulative effect against Ram Pravesh Kumar under Rule-14 (iv) of Jharkhand Government Servant (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 2016.

The Jharkhand government has given permission to take action against retired Jharkhand Administrative Service officer Chandrashekhar Singh. On behalf of the CMO, a lifetime ban has been imposed on the pension of the then Block Development Officer, Sonvarsha, Saharsa (Bihar) under Rule-43 (b) of the Jharkhand Pension Rules.

It has been decided to cut five  percent from the pension of the then commissioner of Dhanbad Municipal Corporation and Jharkhand Administrative Service officer Awadhesh Kumar Pandey (Category No.-528/03) for one year. The government has also approved this. A proposal to cut the pension as a penalty was brought under Rule-43 (b) of the Jharkhand Pension Rules.
