Jharkhand CM interacts with Civil Aviation Minister, seeks night halt of planes at Ranchi Airport

Ranchi, April 13: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren joined the video conferencing organized with Union Civil Aviation Minister  Jyotiraditya M. Scindia on Wednesday. 
The Union Minister urged the Chief Minister to reduce the percentage of VAT on Aviation Turbine Fuel and speed up the agreement between the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Ranchi Airport and also ensure speedy construction of the approach road to the newly constructed airport at Deoghar. Discussions were also held regarding  proposed airport at Dumka in Santhal Pargana and Dhalbhumgarh airport  in Jamshedpur on this occasion.

Significantly, Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato had raised the issue of delay in construction of Dhalbhumgarh airport due to lack of forest and other government clearances with the Union minister recently. 

The Chief Minister said that the Civil Aviation Ministry should make arrangements for the night halt of the plane at Birsa Munda Airport. So that the passengers here can get the facility of flight in the first morning. In addition, he urged to construct a separate taxi lane at Ranchi Airport and to increase the connectivity of Birsa Munda Airport to Bengal, Bihar and Raipur. The Union Minister has assured the Chief Minister that a proper decision will be taken on this.

Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh, Principal Secretary Personnel Department. Vandana Dadel, Secretary to Chief Minister Vinay Kumar Choubey and others were present in the video conferencing.
