Jharkhand CM inspect hospital, school, warehouse, hostel and canteen at Latehar

Ranchi, February 13: Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren as part of district visit tour under Khatiyani Johar Yatra arrived in Latehar on Monday evening

He inspected the state-run Plus Two High School (the newly constructed academic building of Utkrisht Vidyalaya) distributed textbooks among the students and inspecting Sadar Hospital, EVM warehouse, Boys hostel and Didi canteen at collectorate building.

“Our government is committed to bring the state to the threshold of development.  The district visit program is aimed to see whether the development and welfare schemes run by the government are actually taking shape or not,” said Soren after being welcomed during his visit.

The Chief Minister said that government will not compromise on the quality of education in government schools.

“Government schools will now provide better education facilities to children than private schools. School of Excellence is being opened,” said Soren after inspection of the newly constructed academic building of the Government Plus Two High School, selected as an excellent school.

He took stock of other arrangements including ICT lab, computer room, library, class room, auditorium and teachers room. School will have English medium and it will be affiliated to CBSE board.

The Chief Minister inspected the children’s hostel run by the Welfare Department. During this, the children apprised the Chief Minister about some difficulties being faced here. The Chief Minister said that the layout of the hostels is being changed. The repair work of the buildings has started.

The Chief Minister took stock of the Phulo-Jhano Didi canteen run by the women self-help group in the Collectorate building.

Chief Minister’s inspected the 24×7 emergency service at Sadar Hospital, diagnostic lab and OPD. He said that no negligence will be tolerated in the treatment of patients. The top priorities of the government include the betterment of health and education. For this, the government is providing all necessary facilities. Make sure that patients get its benefits.

The Chief Minister also inspected the EVM warehouse being constructed near the Collectorate building and gave necessary instructions to the officials in this regard.

Chief Minister met people and heard their grievances. Necessary instructions were given to the concerned authorities in this regard for quick solution to the problem.
