Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren criticizes Himanta Biswa Sarma for visiting Jharkhand while Assam battle flood

Ranchi, September 28: In an apparent attack on Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma who is also BJP’s Jharkhand assembly election co-incharge, his Jharkhand counterpart Hemant Soren on Saturday said that while “some states” reeled under flood, their CMs were camping here for votes.

Hemant Soren has launched a scathing critique of Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, accusing him of prioritizing BJP campaigning in Jharkhand while Assam grapples with severe flooding while addressing a government function to distribute job letters at Ranchi on Saturday.

“They fail to manage affairs of their own state and come here to disturb our state,” alleged Soren.

Speaking at a government function in Ranchi, Soren insinuated that the BJP’s ‘Parivartan Yatra’ is a politically motivated exercise, referring to the party as ‘vultures’ circling during election season.

Soren went on to allege that the BJP buys governments, as exemplified by recent events in Maharashtra and said that even Maharashtra is flooded.

He also unveiled several developmental projects and promised to enhance the government’s welfare schemes

Soren distributed appointment letters among 444 training officers in 29 trades of Industrial Training Institutes (ITI).

Soren said that the process of examinations and recruitment was underway at a fast pace in Jharkhand.

“The process of recruitment through Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) is underway at a fast pace, despite the challenges since formation of the government,” Soren said.

He said that appointment letters were distributed among 527 candidates of different trades such as teachers, engineers and technicians on Friday.

In Jharkhand, 74 government ITIs and 16 ITIs in Left Wing Extremism-hit areas are operational and industrial training is being imparted to over 1,400 youths.

“There is also provision for placement for candidates undergoing training. This year, around 3,000 candidates got placement in top private companies,” Soren said.
