Dumka, Feb 3: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday held an extensive public interaction at his Khijuria residence in Dumka, where citizens from various districts and social backgrounds met him to place their grievances and demands before the government.
The interaction reflected the state government’s continued emphasis on direct dialogue with people as a key instrument of governance.
Listening patiently to each representation, the Chief Minister issued on-the-spot instructions to senior officials and concerned departments to ensure time-bound and effective redressal of the issues raised.
He stressed that administrative sensitivity and accountability are essential to maintaining public trust, and directed officials to follow up on complaints until they reach logical resolution.
Reaffirming the government’s development vision, Soren said his administration remains firmly committed to addressing the everyday problems of citizens, particularly those living in rural and marginalised areas.
“This is a government of the villages. Our focus is on inclusive growth and last-mile delivery,” he said, adding that several welfare schemes being implemented by the state are designed to provide direct and tangible benefits to the people.
The Chief Minister also encouraged eligible beneficiaries to actively enrol in and avail themselves of various social security, health, livelihood and development-oriented schemes run by the state government.
He noted that transparent implementation and public awareness are crucial to ensuring that the benefits reach the intended sections of society.
Those present at the interaction lauded the government’s welfare initiatives and expressed satisfaction over the opportunity to directly convey their concerns to the Chief Minister.
