Jharkhand CM directs for weekly construction report of Ranchi flyover

Ranchi, March 9: Jharkhand chief minister Champai Soren on Saturday held a high level review meeting on the progress of the Kantatoli Flyover being built in the state capital in Ranchi.

The meeting which was attended by senior officials of Juidco and representative of the construction company had the chief minister directing to expedite construction work and submit progress report of construction every week.

The Chief Minister told the Juidco officials that there has already been a lot of delay in the construction of this flyover. In such a situation, all necessary steps should be taken to speed up the work so that there is no further delay.

The Chief Minister also asked the officials to submit the progress report of the ongoing construction work of Kantatoli flyover every week, so that it can be reviewed in detail. This will also facilitate monitoring of works and necessary instructions can also be given if needed.

He said that this flyover is very important for the traffic system of the capital Ranchi. With its implementation, traffic jams will be relieved.

Juidco officials told the Chief Minister that the construction work of Kantatoli flyover has been expedited and its construction will be completed by August this year.

The officials informed the Chief Minister that due to delay in land acquisition and utility shifting, the construction work of Kantatoli flyover was affected. But, now the construction work is going on at a fast pace and it will be handed over by August.

On March 6, the Chief Minister had inspected the ongoing construction work of Kantatoli and Siramtoli Flower. During this time, he had instructed the concerned officials to speed up its construction work. He had also said that during its construction, the traffic system should also be maintained properly, so that the common people do not have to face problems in commuting.
