Jharkhand CM concerned at less farmers benefiting from JKRMY

Ranchi, December 6: Jharkhand chief minister reviewed the Jharkhand Krishi Rin Mafi Yojana (JKRMY-Jharkhand Agricultural Loan Waiver Scheme) on Tuesday.

During the review, the Chief Minister was apprised by the officers that under JKRMY the loan waiver of 9 lakh 7 thousand 753 eligible farmers was to be done in the state,  but only 6 lakh 6 thousand farmers were disbursed by various banks as per data uploaded.

Expressing concern over this, the Chief Minister directed that a meeting with the banks under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh should be organized soon to speed up the loan waiver work of the deprived eligible farmers under the Agricultural Loan Waiver Scheme.

Hemant Soren said that officers should prepare panchayat-wise database of eligible farmers by running a campaign, so that the benefit of loan waiver can be made available to them under the Jharkhand Agricultural Loan Waiver Scheme. The Chief Minister directed the officials to make the data of eligible farmers whose loan waiver has been done public on the public platform as well.
