Warn officers against misuse of funds for housing project
Ranchi, February 13: Jharkhand chief minister Champai Soren announced that by 2027 all residents in Jharkhand will have their own house.
Addressing a meeting at Dumka after handing over acceptance letter to beneficiaries of Abua Awas Yojana in Dumka, Champai Soren said, “By the year 2027, everyone in Jharkhand will have their own house. No person will be forced to live in a slum, dilapidated or dilapidated house. Everyone will get a three-room permanent house.”
“The state government has taken steps towards realizing the dream of 20 lakh poor, needy and homeless people of having their own home,” said Soren.
On this occasion, Soren provided approval letters of Abua Awas to 9827 beneficiaries of Dumka, 5711 of Jamtara and 9847 of Deoghar district and transferred Rs 76 crore 15 lakh 50 thousand as the amount of first installment through DBT to their bank account. .
The Chief Minister clearly said that action will be taken against those taking unfair advantage of the Abua Housing Scheme and the officers and employees involved along with the middlemen.
He said that there are clear instructions to the officials to take action to sanction houses to the beneficiaries under the priority list with complete transparency.
“The state cannot develop without improving the system and work is being done to strengthen systems including economic, social, educational and health. The way former Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren ji was giving a new dimension to development under his able leadership even amidst adverse circumstances, our government is doing the work of taking it forward and putting the schemes on the ground,” added Soren.
The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand is a rural state, most of the villagers here are dependent on agriculture and labour, hence work is being done to strengthen the rural economy. Along with cities, facilities are also being provided in villages.
The Chief Minister said that the government has now decided to provide 125 units of free electricity instead of 100 units. This will benefit 30 lakh electricity consumers.
