Jharkhand cabinet nod to old pension scheme, 3-member committee to decide SOP

Approval for state’s first tribal university near Jamshedpur 

Ranchi, July 15: Jharkhand cabinet gave its nod for implementing old pension scheme with certain riders.

The cabinet while giving in principle consent to the old pension scheme in place of the existing new contributory pension scheme has also constituted three-member committee under the chairmanship of Development Commissioner, Jharkhand.  The other members are  Finance Secretary and Personnel Secretary.

This committee will prepare the Standard Operating Procedure(SOP) to implement the old pension scheme. After the report of the committee, a proposal will be brought in the cabinet again and the old pension scheme will be implemented by abolishing the existing contributory pension scheme. Another important decision was taken in the matter of old pension.

Under this, the state employees whose appointment process was done before April 2004, but if their contribution is made after 1st December 2004, then they will now get the option of taking the old pension scheme.

The cabinet also gave nod for to pay  Rs 27 additional wages to MGNREGA workers. The central government pays  Rs 210 wages to MGNREGA workers. The state government will make additional payment from Rs 27 state plan money, ie they will now be given Rs 237.

 Apart from this, the cabinet has decided to give 1 kg of gram dal to 5800000 ration card holders for one rupee. It was decided to give the benefit of 7th pay scale to the scientists officers to the retired teachers of Birsa Agriculture University. They will be given economic benefits from January 1, 2016 to March 1, 2022. For this an amount of more than Rs 14 crores has been approved.

The Council of Ministers has decided to adopt 36 such castes which are listed in the Backward Classes but are not listed in the Central Government by the Government of India through Income and Asset Certificates.

The cabinet has decided to give clothes twice a year to 9221 Tana Bhagats who are above 25 years of age.

Other important decisions of the cabinet include finance department will be reorganized. New 515 posts will be created by extradition of 505 posts.

Jharkhand Finance Audit and Service and Jharkhand Audit Subordinate Service will be formed.

In the financial year 22-23, it was decided to constitute the Chamber of Farmers.

It was decided to open new polytechnic colleges in eight places including Hazaribagh, Chatra, Lohardaga, Jamtara, Palamu, Godda, Bagodar and to affiliate them with Pan IT Nity.

Family court will be opened in Ramgarh.

Industrial Training Service Cadre was formed.

Jharkhand Panchayat Secretary Service Manual amended.

Azim Premji University Act 2022 was approved.

Public Distribution System Control 2022 has been approved. Under this, facilities have been given to the ration card holders and complete rules have been made to control the license holders.

Rs 44.3 crore was given for Hata-Musabani road.

Approval was given to construct a new Collectorate building at Lohardaga.

On the proposal of the Labor Department,  it approved for giving 75 percent reservation in the private sector.

Approval of Pandit Raghunath Murmu Tribal University near Jamshedpur.
