High level delegation to visit Sweden, Spain
Ranchi, April 8: The Hemant Soren-led Jharkhand Cabinet on Tuesday approved 14 important proposals, including the creation of 1,373 new posts for secondary assistant teachers across the state. The decision marks a major push towards strengthening the state’s education sector.
The decision will lead to creation of posts to address vacancies and enhance teaching staff in secondary schools.
Approval has been given for replacement of 8,650 and 250 posts respectively out of 9,470 and 797 vacant posts of Government Secondary School Teacher (TGT) cadre (7th Pay Scale Level L/7, Rs. 44,900-1,42,400/-) and Government +2 School Teacher (PGT) cadre (7th Pay Scale Level, L/8, Rs. 47,600-1,51,100/-) of Jharkhand, totaling 8,900 posts and creation of need-based posts of 1373 Secondary Acharyas of Secondary Acharya cadre (7th Pay Scale Level, L/6, Rs. 35,400-1,12,400/-) in 510 Government +2 schools.
Approval was given to Jharkhand Grassroots Innovation Internship Scheme. Approval has been given for promotion of officers of Jharkhand Lower Education Service Cadre (Primary Branch) to the post of State Education Service Class-2 (Inspector Branch).
Other major decisions in the cabinet are as follows;
High-Level Delegation’s Visit to Spain and Sweden: Approval was granted for an industrial investment promotion delegation led by the Chief Minister to visit Spain and Sweden. The initiative aims to attract global investment to Jharkhand.
Revised Rehabilitation Policy Extended: The term of the Revised Rehabilitation Policy 2012 has been extended up to the year 2027.
Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) Tax Revised: The Cabinet approved an increase in ATF tax from 4% to 12%, aligning with state revenue enhancement goals.
Promotions in Education Services: Officers in the Jharkhand Subordinate Education Services (Avar Shiksha Seva) have been approved for promotion to the State Education Service Cadre-II.
The cabinet also approved to issue guidelines for hospital management to ensure better management of hospitals and to make health facilities in line with the standards of Indian Public Health by obtaining maximum claim amount from various health insurance schemes by government hospitals.
