Housing loan for govt employees up to Rs 60 lakh
Ranchi, January 24: Hemant Soren-led cabinet on Wednesday approved old age pension for tribals, Dalits and all women attaining the age of 50 years in the state.
About 16 lakh population will benefit from this scheme.
In all 25 proposals were given nod by the state cabinet meeting at the secretariat.
The meeting approved giving loans up to Rs 60 lakh to government employees for house construction without mortgage of land.
Jharkhand government will now give housing loan up to Rs 60 lakh to its employees. The interest rate on the loan will be 7.5 percent. Till now, employees could get a maximum housing loan of Rs 30 lakh.
About two lakh employees of the state will benefit from this proposed decision of the government. Apart from building one’s own house, arrangements will also be made to give advance loan to the employees for repair and expansion of the house.
The biggest relief is that now the provision of keeping any kind of property as mortgage against the loan will also be abolished. In Jharkhand, ST-SC category employees were finding it difficult to get loans due to the provisions of CNT and SPT (Chhotanagpur-Santhal Parna Tenancy Act).
At the same time, JPSC has announced relaxation of 7 years in the age limit for the CombinedMilitary Services Examination. Besides, a decision has been taken to convert 140 middle schools into secondary high schools.
Approval has been given to the proposal of 10 months reduction in retirement benefits during the suspension period of Sunil Kumar, former Deputy Director of Agriculture Department, Demotand.
One post of MIS has been created on contract basis under Rural Affairs Department, Ranchi.
Additional amount of Rs 4.96 crore spent on Jharkhand Women’s Asian Champions Trophy was approved ex-post facto.
Now the state government itself will pay the salaries of all the workers working on contract basis under the Integrated Child Development Project.
