Jharkhand blind football team bags 2nd runner-up title at Greater Lions Vision Cup 2025

Jamshedpur, Nov 12: The two-day Greater Lions Vision Cup 2025 Championship for blind football players was held on November 8 and 9 at Dada Bhai Sporting Club, Deshbandhu Para, Siliguri, under the aegis of the Lions Club of Siliguri Greater and guided by the Indian Blind Football Federation.

Teams from West Bengal, Jharkhand, Nagaland, and Mizoram participated in the tournament. The first day featured league matches, followed by semi-finals and finals on the second day.

The Jharkhand team delivered an impressive performance, securing the second runner-up position in the championship. Upon returning to Jamshedpur, the players received a warm welcome with garlands from fans and supporters.

A felicitation ceremony was organized by Tata Steel Foundation’s Sabal team, where Kumar Gaurav, along with Tenik Mahato, Saimen Saha, and Ronak Kumar, honored the players and team manager.

The honored players included Shekhar, Anand Bobanga, Dheeraj Kumar, Roshan Hessa, Guru Charan Gop, Ritu Manna (goalkeeper), Jai Modi, Mohammad Israfil Baske, coach Rajkumar Singh, and Raunak Kumar.
