Ranchi, Jan 9: The Jharkhand unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday announced the names of elected district presidents for 23 organizational districts, marking a key milestone in the party’s ongoing organisational restructuring after the Assembly elections.
The official list was released by State Election Officer and MP Dr. Pradeep Verma.
Dr. Verma said the organisational elections were held after the completion of the party’s primary and active membership drives.
The election process was conducted smoothly in various districts under the supervision of party-appointed election officers and observers, while elections in the remaining districts are still underway and their results will be declared shortly.
Of the 23 newly elected district presidents, three are women, four belong to Scheduled Tribes and one to the Scheduled Caste category.
Eight district presidents have been re-elected, reflecting continuity and confidence in experienced leadership.
Among those elected are Vinay Mahato (Ranchi East), Narendra Singh (Ranchi West), Rupesh Mandal (Dumka), Geeta Balmuchu (Chaibasa), Deepak Paswan (Chakradharpur) and Hare Krishna Pradhan (Saraikela–Kharsawan).
As part of its organisational expansion, the BJP has also restructured certain districts. Ranchi Rural has been divided into East and West, while Chakradharpur and Giridih Rural have been created as new organisational districts.
