Hemant Soren distributes offer letters to 10,020 candidates at Rozgar Mela

Chaibasa, Aug 18: Chief Minister Hemant Soren handed over offer letters to 10,020 candidates during Rozgar Mela (Employment Fair) in Chaibasa on Friday. The event bore testament to the government’s commitment to bolstering employment opportunities and uplifting the state’s workforce.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Hemant Soren made a significant announcement, extending the tenure of assistant police personnel in the state by an additional two years. He assured attendees that the government was deeply concerned about the welfare of police personnel and emphasized that decisive actions would be taken in this regard.

Chief Minister Soren shared the government’s resolve to serve the state’s population of 3.25 crores. He highlighted that a series of prompt decisions had already been undertaken to propel the state forward, aligned with this vision.

Expressing the government’s dedication to public welfare, the Chief Minister stressed that numerous employment schemes were being implemented to cater to educated, less educated, and illiterate individuals. Additionally, the Chief Minister’s Employment Generation Scheme was aiding those inclined toward self-employment through financial assistance.

Furthermore, Chief Minister Soren underlined that the government was not solely focused on providing employment but was also facilitating preparation for competitive exams, as well as courses in fields like medicine, engineering, and law. The Mukhyamantri Sarathi Yojana was highlighted, offering free skill development training through the Birsa Center, with the government offering 100% scholarships for higher education abroad.

The Chief Minister also pointed to the launch of a free residential coaching program to prepare sensitive tribal youth for competitive exams. These initiatives underscored the government’s commitment to creating a prosperous future for the state’s residents.

In terms of private sector employment, Chief Minister Soren unveiled a significant policy change, making it mandatory for private institutions and companies operating within the state to allocate 75 percent of jobs up to Rs 40,000 per month to tribal and native individuals. This landmark legislation led to the simultaneous issuance of offer letters to 10,020 youth from the Kolhan region, a historic feat.

The Chief Minister expressed his delight in noting that approximately 9,500 of these candidates were tribal and native residents, with 80 percent of them belonging to tribal, Dalit, minority, and backward classes. He emphasized that this momentum would continue, creating substantial employment opportunities for the youth.

Emphasizing the hard-fought journey that led to the establishment of Jharkhand as a separate state, the Chief Minister reaffirmed the commitment to uphold its rights through persistent efforts. Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister acknowledged his personal connection with the citizens, drawing from his own background and experiences, which has enabled the government to tailor plans that resonate with the aspirations of the people and translate them into actionable measures.

The Chief Minister reflected on the formidable challenges that have surfaced since assuming office and underscored the government’s unwavering resolve to steer the state toward a new trajectory. He recognized the transformative potential of the administration’s endeavors, which are not only addressing the obstacles faced by the state but are also forging a promising future.

The Chief Minister acknowledged that despite being a tribal-dominated state, tribal interests were often overlooked in the past. His government had initiated numerous schemes to integrate tribals into the development narrative, including the recognition of tribal art, culture, and tradition through grand tribal festivals. He urged tribal communities to unite and demonstrate their collective strength for progress.

The event was graced by the presence of various dignitaries, including Minister Alamgir Alam, Champai Soren, Satyanand Bhokta, Joba Manjhi, Banna Gupta, Member of Parliament Geeta Koda, and MLAs Sukhram Oraon, Niral Purti, Savita Mahto, and Deepak Pidhi. Government officials such as Mangal Kalindi, Sameer Mohanty, Sanjeev Sardar, Divisional Commissioner Manoj Kumar, Secretary to Chief Minister Vinay Kumar Choubey, and Labor Secretary Rajesh Sharma were also in attendance.
