Jamshedpur: Three archery coaches from the state have been selected for the prestigious World Archery Level-1 Coaches Seminar. The program will be held at the World Archery Excellence Centre in Lausanne, Switzerland, from March 14 to 21, 2026.
The Selected Coaches
The three coaches representing Jharkhand’s excellence on the global stage are:
- Amarjeet Dubey (AIPSCB, Jharkhand)
- Kamlesh Mahto (SAJHA, Jharkhand)
- Mukesh Turi (Jindal Steel, Jharkhand)
A Rigorous Selection Process
A total of 26 coaches from various states and departments across India were chosen for this international training program. The candidates underwent a multi-stage examination and selection process conducted by the Archery Association of India (AAI). The program is being sponsored by the Sports Authority of India (SAI).
Leadership Commends the Achievement
Jharkhand Archery Association President Arjun Munda, Senior Vice President Neha Mahto, Secretary Purnima Mahto, and senior coaches, including Harendra Singh, B.S. Rao, Prakash Ram, and Sisir Mahto, extended their congratulations and best wishes to the trio.
The association leaders noted that this selection is a direct result of the coaches’ hard work, dedication, and consistent efforts toward the sport. This international exposure is expected to provide a new direction for archery in Jharkhand and help set new records in the future.
