Jharkhand Andolankaris to meet govt

Saraikela, Sept 28: The Jharkhand Andolankari Manch (JAM) state committee organized a meeting at the Padampur Ground in Saraikela. The meeting was presided by Raghunath Soy. Revolutionaries from all opver the state were present in the meeting. Members present discussed the various problems and claims that have continued to be overlooked by the governments that have been in power since the formation of Jharkhand state.

The chief convener of JAM Dhanpati Sardar in his address stated that even after 20 years of the formation of Jharkhand, the respect and benefits due to the revolutionaries and Shahids (martyrs) and their families had been overlooked and instead, he claimed, they (the governments) have tried to drive a wedge in the solidarity of Andolankaris. He demanded that the Hemant Soren government immediately decide on their domicile and rehabilitation policies by framing and implementing them. It was unanimously decided in the meeting that a JAM delegation would shortly meet the state government ministers and discuss the burning issues of the revolutionaries and kin of the martyrs who fought for a separate state.

Those present in the meeting were Prithwiraj Mahto, Vidyadhar Mahto, Dinesh Mahto, Prabhas Mahanty, Budhram Oraon, David Singh Kalundia, Lalsingh Liyangi, Tarapado Mahto, Janmejay Mandal, Anand Lohar, Sonu Bansingh, Mansa Tudu, Ghanshyam taint and Pancha Sardar who also addressed the meeting. Revolutionaries from across the state attended the meeting.
