Jamshedpur: J. H. Tarapore School successfully observed Safety Week 2026–27, engaging students from all levels in a series of life-skill workshops and awareness drills. Operating under the theme “Safety First: Learn, Act, Protect,” the initiative aimed to instill a culture of vigilance and responsibility within the school community.
Empowering the Youngest Learners
The Primary Department focused on foundational safety through interactive and age-appropriate activities. Students participated in:
-
Role Plays: Understanding the concepts of “good touch and bad touch.”
-
Creative Workshops: Badge-making, slogan writing, and sorting exercises.
-
Audio-Visual Learning: Safety-themed videos designed to simplify complex emergency procedures.

Digital and Personal Safety for Seniors
Students from Classes VI to XII transitioned into more specialized safety themes. The curriculum included the design of Emergency Contact Cards and Cyber Safety posters, addressing the growing need for digital literacy and online protection.
The week’s standout event featured a Self-Defense Workshop for Class XII, led by Shihan L. Nageshwar Rao and his expert team. The session provided students with practical karate techniques, situational awareness strategies, and confidence-building exercises to handle real-world threats.
Mental Health and Emotional Well-being
Recognizing that safety extends beyond physical protection, the school organized a dedicated Mental Health Awareness session for Class XI. The workshop emphasized the importance of emotional well-being, self-care, and the resilience needed to navigate academic and personal challenges.
By blending creative projects with practical training, J. H. Tarapore School has equipped its students to be more aware, confident, and proactive in their approach to personal and community safety.
