J.H. Tarapore School Honors Student Stars at Glittering Awards Night

Jamshedpur: J.H. Tarapore School hosted its Annual Recognition Night by honouring students who have recorded outstanding performances in various fields. The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by a graceful dance performance that reflected the evening’s theme: International Year of Women Farmers.

The ceremony honored students for their outstanding achievements across a wide spectrum of fields. In alignment with the National Education Policy 2020, the school continues to promote holistic development, balancing academic excellence with creativity, social responsibility, and core values.

The Chief Guest, Dr. Faroak Sanjana, presented the awards and motivated students to strive for excellence in every sphere of life. Distinguished guests, parents, and faculty members joined the celebration to recognize the students’ dedication.

Award Highlights

The school presented awards for Academic Excellence, Good Conduct, Responsibility, and Perseverance, as well as special recognitions for sports and Olympiads.

  • Middle School All-Rounder: Tanaya Jha (Std. VIII)

  • High School All-Rounder: Aastha Singh (Std. X)

  • Senior Secondary All-Rounder: Meghna Giri (Std. XII)

  • Principal’s Award: Deepanita Manik (Std. XII)


Special Recognitions

  • Social Work: Mr. Shouvik Saha, Founder of People for Change, honored Insha Azmat Khan (Std. XII) for her commendable social service.

  • Humanities: Shafiya Iqubal (Std. XII) received the Teacher Rinku Sehra Award for Humanities.

  • The Sumita Bhattacharjee Memorial Trophy: The school introduced this new “Good Samaritan Award” this year. Arna Sinha (Std. X) won the trophy for her kindness, dignity, and willingness to help others.

  • Best Club Award: The Environment Club and the Art Club jointly earned this title for their consistent efforts throughout the year.

Commitment to Community

As part of its social responsibility initiative, the school presented donations to Mr. Ashok Ghosh (Helping Hearts Foundation) for the Roti Initiative, and to Mr. Sunil Mukherjee and Mr. Kamal Kumar Ghosh (Voluntary Blood Donators Association). The school also recognized individual blood donors for their life-saving contributions.
