Jamshedpur, August 21: JFC Reserves were held to a frustrating goalless draw by a resilient Jamshedpur Boys’ Club (JBC) in the JSA Premier Division clash at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on Thursday.
The young Men of Steel dominated possession and created the better chances throughout the game, but despite their attacking intent, they failed to break down JBC’s disciplined defence. Forward Zuala came close early on, narrowly missing the target, while Gopal Munda and Rayan also tested the opposition with quick chances. Another JFC forward forced the JBC goalkeeper into a low save, as the hosts pressed hard on both sides of the interval.
Jamshedpur Boys’ Club, however, stood firm at the back, displaying a compact and physical style of play. Their resilience was tested under waves of JFC attacks, but they managed to weather the storm and even earned a valuable point. The visitors also received multiple cautions for their aggressive approach, with Sunil Kisku (32’), Sanjay Mahali (48’), Lakshman Baskey (86’), Coach (86’), and Pankaj Kumar Hansda (90+2’) all booked. JFC skipper Mayanglambam Ronaldo Singh was the only home player cautioned in the 62nd minute.
Despite late pressure and several close calls, JBC’s defence held strong until the final whistle, ensuring both sides shared the spoils with a 0-0 stalemate.
