Jetia police plays cupid, unites love-birds

Noamundi, March 13: A marriage ceremony was organized at the Jetia police station uniting two lovers Mangal Sinku and Manju Hembram on Sunday. The two were engaged in the relationship since the last seven years.

In the beginning, the boy refused to marry the girl. In this connection the villagers held meeting twice. The boy agreed to marry the girl before the village panchayat, but later refused to accept her. The matter was reported to the Jetia police station in-charge Sahdev Tapno.

Topno persuaded the duo to marry and the wedding ceremony was held in the presence of parents from both sides, who signed a bond. The marriage was solemnized on the police station premises.

Those present on the occasion included Gangaram Sinku, Raudia Hembram, Subhash Laguri and a large number of villagers.
