JEM Utsav 2025 marks 17 years of excellence in education in Jamshedpur

Awards, performances, and felicitations highlight annual celebration at Beldih Club

Jamshedpur, Aug 29: JEM Utsav 2025 was celebrated with great pomp and joy at Beldih Club, Jamshedpur, marking the 17th year of JEM Foundation Schools and College. The evening brought together dignitaries, teachers, staff, and students in a festive spirit to celebrate achievements, recognize contributions, and showcase talents.

The institutions under JEM Foundation — JUSCO School South Park, JUSCO School Kadma, Kasidih High School, and Mrs. KMPM Vocational College — participated in the event, presenting a vibrant picture of their progress in academics and co-curricular activities. The celebration began with a soulful performance by the JEM Band, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by dignitaries. A presentation highlighting the annual performance of all schools and the college was screened, earning appreciation from the gathering.

The event was attended by eminent personalities including Mr. Ritu Raj Sinha, Managing Director, Tata Steel UISL & Chairman, JEM Foundation; Mrs. Ruchi Narendran, Managing Trustee, JEM Foundation; Mr. A.F. Madon, Administrator, JEM Foundation; Mr. Jyoti Prakash, CFO, Tata Steel UISL and Honorary Treasurer, JEM Foundation; Mr. Deepak Kamath, CEO, Tata Steel Support Services Ltd. & Trustee, JEM Foundation; Mr. Jiju Thomas, Senior Manager, JEM Foundation; Mrs. Mili Sinha, Principal, JUSCO School South Park; Mrs. Jhum Jhumi Nandi, Principal, JUSCO School Kadma; and Dr. Reeta Kumari, Acting Professor-in-Charge, Mrs. KMPM Vocational College.

Welcoming the gathering, Mrs. Ruchi Narendran praised the performance of the schools and college. She congratulated all principals for their efforts in maintaining high standards of education and was particularly happy that JEM institutions had introduced Artificial Intelligence and Robotics in their curriculum. “Overall development of the child is our only goal, and I am proud of the way JEM schools and college are working to achieve it,” she said.

One of the major highlights of the evening was the Long Service Awards, presented to teachers and staff completing 15, 10, and 5 years of service across the institutions. The awards were handed over by Mrs. Ruchi Narendran, Mr. Ritu Raj Sinha, and Mr. A.F. Madon. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Sinha expressed delight over the loyalty and dedication of teachers towards the institution. “Teachers have been a guiding light, showing the correct path through their knowledge and passion. Their creativity and inspiration are contagious, and I congratulate all awardees for their contributions,” he said.

The cultural segment added a festive touch, with a dance performance and skit by teachers of JUSCO School South Park, followed by solo dances and singing presentations by Mrs. KMPM Vocational College. The highlight was the recognition of teachers whose students scored 90 percent and above in the 2024–25 board examinations. Felicitations were presented by Mr. Deepak Kamath and Mr. Jyoti Prakash.

The scale of academic achievements was evident from the large number of teachers recognized. At JUSCO School South Park, 23 teachers of Class X and 25 teachers of Class XII were felicitated. At JUSCO School Kadma, 21 teachers of Class X and 14 teachers of Class XII received honors. Kasidih High School saw 22 teachers of Class X and 16 teachers of Class XII recognized. Additionally, 12 professors of Mrs. KMPM Vocational College were felicitated for their students’ success.

The evening continued with energetic dance performances by teachers and office staff of Kasidih High School and JUSCO School Kadma, drawing loud cheers and compelling even the audience to join in. The program concluded with the national anthem, followed by a fellowship dinner for all dignitaries, teachers, staff, and support staff, hosted by the JEM Foundation fraternity.

The successful coordination of the event was managed by Mr. Jiju Thomas, Senior Manager, and Mr. Naveen Kumar Singh, Manager, JEM Foundation. The celebration ended on a note of promise, with a shared commitment to achieving even greater milestones in the coming year through continued excellence, dedication, and innovation in education.
