Jamshedpur, Oct 9: Acting on the directives of Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Roy, leaders of the Janata Dal (United) conducted an extensive inspection of major Chhath Ghats in the Mango area to review preparations ahead of the festival. The inspection was led by Lalu Gaur, President of JD(U) Mango Police Station area unit, accompanied by City Manager Nishant of the Mango Municipal Corporation, District President Subodh Srivastava and Metropolitan President Ajay Kumar.
The team visited several ghats, including Baikunth Nagar, Vastu Vihar, Gaud Nagar, Sai Suraj Ashram, Bagra Kuli, Krishna Nagar, Shanti Nagar, Laxmi Nagar and Ram Nagar. During the inspection, they observed multiple issues such as broken stairs, garbage accumulation, poor lighting and damaged approach roads, emphasizing the urgent need for repairs and cleaning.
The delegation urged municipal and administrative authorities to complete maintenance work including stair repairs, drainage cleaning and lighting installations before the Chhath festival to ensure devotees could perform rituals without inconvenience.
Several party workers and local representatives, including Kulwinder Singh, Prem Saxena, Vikas Sahni, Pintu Singh, Pawan Singh, Deepak Gaur, Mamta Singh and others, participated in the inspection, reaffirming the party’s commitment to a safe and smooth Chhath celebration for residents.
