Jamshedpur, Sept. 13: JCI Jamshedpur Royals conducted a skill development workshop at Nehru Colony, Sakchi on women empowerment as part of JCI Week programs. More than 50 underprivileged women were provided professional training on small scale production of edible mushroom.
President Tara Kishore Agarwal said that skill development is better than any donation. By developing their skill set, they are given an opportunity of continued earnings.
Entrepreneur Sudipta Ghosh said that she’ll provide a ready market for the goods produced. The event helped boost confidence of ladies. Team JCI will be helping these women to sell the mushrooms in upfront market.
This event was also patronised by Poonam who helped a lot. JC Gitesh Singhal is the project chairman who organised the whole event. Raj Jaiswal, Nishit Naredi, Dr Vishal Lodha, Rahul Debuka and Sandeep Agarwal were among the members who were present.
