Jamshedpur, July 13 : Hair expert Jawed Habib on Monday said that there are plans to set up a Jawed Habib Academy in the city which will not only train local youth, who aspire to have a career in cosmetology but also provide them with employment in Jawed Habib salons and other brands.
He said that there are 65 such academies in the country. The academy at the steel city will come up this year. He was interacting with the media at Bistupur where he inaugurated his authorised salon. “The hair stylist industry has helped revolutionize our outlook today and this industry has immense potential and is a viable career option for the youth. It will take time but it will definitely pay off in the long run,” he added. Located at H.S.Tower, K[1]Road, this luxury salon caters to all services such as hair, beauty, bridal make[1]up, nails etc.
It practices one of the best hygienic measures and guarantees utmost safety. This is the luxury format out of all Jawed Habib salons. “The lockdown has had an adverse impact on the beauty and hairstyle industry. About 30 per cent of the business has been shut. Through the academy I want to give opportunities to youths to bag jobs,” said Jawed. He stressed on the need for interested persons to take this profession seriously stating that hair dressing is not only limited to haircuts and salons but it is much more than that. (W-gs)
