Javed Ali’s songs mesmerise Jamshedpur audience, XLRI’s Ensemble Valhalla concludes on euphoric note


Simple living and self-reliance are mantras of success: Medha Patkar

Jamshedpur, March 7: Ensemble Valhalla, XLRI’s annual cultural, sports, and management festival successfully organised a three-day extravaganza starting from the 4 March. The fest’s theme was “Realm of Dreams” – Build your own reality.

The major attraction of day one was the enchanting panel of the Idea Summit and the most anticipated Pro Shows. The fitness panel Mandira Bedi, Preeti Jhangiani, and Sahil Pruthi witnessed a discussion where the panelists shared stories of how they adopted the fitness journey and the positive changes in their lives. It was then followed by a hilarious performance by comedian Rahul Dua who kept the audience laughing throughout his stand-up in the Tata Auditorium. His witty lines and side-splitting set made the crowd uproar with laughter. And to end the day on a soulful note, a performance by Bhuwin Khursija who is known to wow the crowd with his mesmerizing vocals is lined up.

The second day saw the keynote address, delivered by the esteemed social activist, Medha Patkar, where she stressed upon how simple living and self-reliance is the need of the hour.  There were panel discussions held. Paataal Lok Panel witnessed the likes of Jaideep Ahlawat, Sudip Sharma, Abhishek Benarjee and Lyra – the star casts. The panel discussed their days of shooting the web-series and delved into the importance of a beautiful script for a movie or series to be successful. The OTT Panel saw popular faces like Ayush Mehra, Revathi Pillai among others where they shared their experiences as actors and also highlighted how social media has influenced the “influencers” and their careers today.  The day ended with a very enticing and energizing performance by Ash King in the Tata Auditorium. His music kept the students grooving throughout the splendid show.

The third day had the Content Creator Panel with Ashish Chanchlani, Radhika Bangia, Viraj Gehlani, Suhani Shah and ‘Bruissed Passport’ fame Savi and Vid. The panel discussed how the recent trends incentivize the creation of more shareable, attention-grabbing content which also helps spread awareness among the masses. This was followed by the series of our Leadership talks, with 2 eminent leaders from the leading photo and video editing app – Picsart. Girish Kamath, managing director, Picsart India and Mr. Ravish Jain, Country Head, Picsart India shared their insights on the photo, video editing app industry and the technologies surrounding the same as well as on how the recent pandemic has impacted the industry as a whole and the way forward.

Idea Summit 2022 ended with the last panel of the day, the Entrepreneurship Panel hosting eminent founders of some of the biggest unicorn start-ups of India; Amit Kumar, No Broker; Farid Ahsan, ShareChat; Ishan Bansal, Groww; Varun Alagh, Mamaearth and Dhaval Shah, PharmEasy. The distinguished personalities shared their personal lessons and insights from their life and spoke about what it takes to be a leader, and helped people dispel the myths of businesses and stressed on the importance of pushing your limits and creating value through your work.

The festivities ended with a final showdown performance by one of the best playback singers of Bollywood, Javed Ali who left the audience mesmerized by his soulful performance.
