Jasmeet Kaur Shergill of DAV Public School, Bistupur topped the city

Jamshedpur : S Akash of DAV Public School and Shubham Raj of Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya (VBCV) jointly topped the city in pour science stream with 95.4 per cent marks while Ayush of Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya topped the commerce stream with 95.6 per cent.

Revealing her success mantra, Jasmeet from DAV Public School said that study on a regular basis and work regularly, for that helps ease the pressure as the exams approach. She went on to inform that she wants to become a doctor and serve the people.

“I thank my staff and teachers and of course the students who have worked hard and made us proud. It is really a great achievement and the toppers will be felicitated for their success,” said Pragya Singh, principal of DAV Public School.

�We are happy with the performance of our children. The students have performed very well overall. Although we have not done an analysis as whether boys or girls have performed better but it looks like both have done equally good,” said Namita Agarwal, principal, Jamshedpur Public School.

Students of the city proved their merit in the CBSE examination rejoiced along with the school authorities. School campuses and cyber cafes were choc-a-bloc soon after the results got declared. Students from the city have high scoring performances in the class 12 examination.

According to the students Maths has been the highest scoring subject followed by Physics and Chemistry. Most of the toppers in schools from the city have already cracked their IIT-JEE. Both boys and girls have equally performed well in the class XII examination.

The Patna region (Jharkhand comes under CBSE’s Patna region) saw girls outperform boys with a pass percentage of 82.47 per cent while 69.01 per cent boys passed. A total 75. 53 per cent students have passed in the Patna region.
