Jamshedpur, Feb 26: The Jansankhya Samadhaan Foundation (JSF) has been demanding consistently for introduction of a Population Control Bill through eight years in view of the alarming population growth in the country. JSF delegations throughout the country have submitted letters addressed to the Prime Minister at 300 district headquarters demanding immediate implementation of population Control Bill.
JSF Mahanagar district president Prem Jha led a delegation and handed a letter to Deputy Commissioner Suraj Kumar. The letter addressed to the Prime Minister demanded immediate implementation of the Population Control Bill that would go a long way in removing hurdles to economic health.
Addressing the media at the time, Jha said that many Nobel awardees had pointed out that the very survival of the human race was endangered by the population growth and pollution. “The unchecked population growth is the cause why our country is not developing as expected when compared to other nations. This population explosion has stimulated joblessness, economic slump and slowed down industrial and business development,” Jha said.
The JSF delegation included Usha Singh, Harendra Singh, Bunty Singh, Honey Parihar and others.
