Jamshedpur: The city of Jamshedpur came alive with colours of devotion, music, and festivity as thousands of devotees celebrated Shri Krishna Janmashtami 2025 with great fervour, commemorating the divine birth of Lord Krishna.
Temples across the city, including ISKCON Sidhgora, Beldih Kalibari, and several other spiritual centres, were adorned with flowers, lights, and traditional rangolis, drawing large numbers of devotees. The air was filled with melodious bhajans, soulful aarti, and captivating Krishna Leela performances, creating an atmosphere of divine bliss.
One of the major attractions was the Dahi Handi competitions organised in different parts of the city, where enthusiastic youth displayed their spirit and teamwork, cheered on by lively crowds. At midnight, devotees gathered in temples to witness the grand aarti and Krishna Abhishek, marking the exact moment of Krishna’s birth with chants of “Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki,” reverberating across the city.
Adding charm to the celebrations, children dressed as Radha and Krishna brought smiles and joy to family gatherings, housing societies, and cultural programmes.
The festival not only reflected the deep-rooted spiritual faith of the people but also highlighted the communal harmony and cultural richness of Jamshedpur, as residents across communities joined in the celebration with devotion and joy.
