Jamshedpur, April 22: Motilal Nehru Public School (MNPS) organized �Janani� on the occasion of Earth Day on Saturday morning which aimed to sensitize the toddlers towards their role in addressing global environment challenges at grass root level.
The cheerful Nursery children presented a medley of programmes showcasing the importance of preserving planet earth. Children also paid tribute to their beautiful mothers through dance and skit.

An open stage was provided to the mothers to showcase their talent, where the winners were Mrs. Mridula Jha, Mrs. Meenakshi Jha, Mrs. Shashi Rai, Mrs.Ankita Kumari and Mrs. Puja Anand mothers of Shreyash, Daivik, Swastik, Arihant and Sarthak.
Valuable efforts by the event co-ordinator Alka Bagchi and Nursery teachers Smita Das, Shibani Singh, Malti Mukherjee and Archana Singh made the programme a success.
Principal Mrs. Ashu Tiwary, members of Managing Committee, teachers and parents in large number were present during the event.
Students of the Nursery class have barely done one month of schooling and the presentation by them involving song and tableau was commendable, as it effectively conveyed the message of plant more trees and save the earth and use no polythene- make your life serene. They carried with them the message of preserving mother earth.
