Do away with �red-tapism�: CM

Ranchi, Aug. 29: Presiding over Sidhi Baat program during Mukhya Mantri Jan Samvad programme at Soochana Bhawan, Chief Minister Raghubar Das today directed all state officials to deal sensitively with people�s affairs, resolve their grievances and warned them to keep away from red-tapism.

The CM said that the system should work effectively instead of directives. The people have given the government mandate for good governance. So the government should be able to live up to their expectations, he said.

The CM directed the DC of East Singhbhum to remove encroachment from government land in Jugsalai in 10 days.

The CM further directed all DCs and SPs to take decisions in case of extremism incidents in a month especially when dealing with the victim�s grievances and redress. No victim should go disappointed, he said.

Take prompt action and sort out a problem. The people mustn�t be harassed in any case,� said the CM. He said that block coordinators of Udyami board should not be deputed in other work at the cost of hampering their main work. He was vis-�-vis with the complainants as well as officers,� he said.

Das expressed his concern over the delay in giving job to the dependents of extremism victim Vinay Kumar Gupta in Khunti and said the dependents should be given job and compensation within two weeks.

On the government�s assurance to give Indira Aawas to the victims of fire of Ranitikara toli in Godda in 2013, the CM said the assurance of the government will not go in vain. It was decided that the victims will be given houses under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Aawas Yojana.

On delay in giving compensation against land acquisition by the government in Hazaribag, the CM said that the DC should take decision on his own on the basis of the documents. If the claim is right, compensation should be given, if not, it should be dismissed. He also directed to start toilet construction at Palkot, Gumla.

In connection with the kidnapping of a 16 year old girl, the Garhwa SP said that all the accused are absconding and the court has been requested to issue attachment order. As per the information, the kidnapper has married with the girl in Allahabad court.

In connection with the smuggling of timber in Palamu and Latehar on train, he was told that the forest department is patrolling extensively. On complaint of illegitimate construction in Upgraded Middle School, Dardih premises in Koderma, the CM said to listen to both the parties and propose to nullify the settlement.

In connection with job confirmation of electric mechanic Amrendra Kumar Singh in Hazaribag, he was informed that 87 similar cases will be resolved in one month.

Regarding old hostel of Vaidnath Kamal Kumari Sanskrit College, a private college in Deoghar, the CM told Higher Education Secretary to sort out the matter with the Principal according to NAC parameter.

The CM also directed the officials concerned to verify Inter certificate of para teacher Panchami Kumari of Nav Prathmik Vidyalay, Bedo in a week and release her salary. If the certificate has been issued wrong, subsequent action will be taken on the concerned department.

Regarding compensation and job to the dependent of Ratan Kumar Jaiswal who was shot dead at Piparwar, Chatra from the service rifle of his companion, he said that the Home Secretary should sort out the matter in a fortnight.

As regards the appointment of a jan sevak in Dhanbad on the basis of wrong report, the CM directed the officials concerned to act according to the rules.

Principal Secretary Sanjay Kumar said that Jan Samvad is growing continuously. The percentage of complaint resolve is also increasing and now it is 84 per cent.

People are availing the offline facilities also. Within a short span of time of a few months, 16.5 thousand offline complaints have been registered.
