After a break of three years, the Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Limited and Tata Sports Department are collaborating to bring the popular Sunday morning event back to Bistupur on November 27 between 6 am and 8:30 am.

While this marks the beginning, frequency of future Jam@Street events will depend on the kind of response it garners and excitement it generates among the people. This event had been started by Tata Steel in 2016 and had continued till 2019 before taking a break. The outbreak of Covid and subsequent lockdowns lengthened the break to three years.

Sukanya Das, spokesperson of Tata Steel UISL, said, “Jam@Street is being organized to popularize healthy habits and lifestyle among the denizens. We want to make our Sunday morning healthy, happy and happening.”

Come Sunday morning, denizens of the city will get an opportunity to enjoy the early winter morning nip in the air at the Bistupur Main Road as this busy thoroughfare will be transformed into a fun zone. From the Regal roundabout to the traffic signal near Khadi Bhandar there will be a host of activities to choose from – basketball, badminton, karate, and many more adventure sports.

If walking, cycling or outdoor workouts is your choice for early morning routine then Jam@Streets can be your destination. This people’s event will also offer enough options for those interested in zumba, yoga, or live painting, and tattoo.

Jam@Streets with its healthy, happy and happening theme promises to have enough to satiate the multifarious interests and hunger pangs of a wide variety of people. Food stalls selling mouth-watering, healthy delicacies will also be available to satiate the hunger pangs of people who throng the Bistupur Main Road for Jam@Streets.
