Jamshepur: Mumbai Police arrest Rs 1.5 crore fraud accuse

Jamshedpur, Aug 20: Mumbai Police have arrested Rahul Singh after conducting raids at Subhash Colony  in Mango. An arrest warrant was issued against the accused. The police had been looking for him for the past one year. A case of fraud of Rs 1.5 crore was registered in October 2020 at Kasara police station in Thane district of Mumbai. The accused is originally a resident of Bachwara in Begusarai district of Bihar.

The accused was hiding at his in-laws house. He has his own house in Mango Post Office Road. On transit remand, the Kasara police took him to Mumbai. He used to work as chief finance controller in a hotel in Kasara police station area. He did a lot of irregularities in the hotel. He has been accused of fraud of about 1.5 crores. An FIR was lodged against him at the Kasara police station on behalf of the hotel management. Since then the police have been looking for the accused. His other associates are also accused in the case.

Earlier, Mumbai Police contacted Jamshedpur SSP Dr M Tamil Vanan and informed about the matter. The SSP ordered Inspector Vinay Kumar of Mango police station to cooperate with the Mumbai Police in the arrest of the accused. After raiding two-three, Jamshedpur and Mumbai police jointly raided and found the accused. He was besieged and arrested from Mango Subhash Colony.
