Jamshedpur’s third electric crematorium to be built in Moharda

Jamshedpur, Dec. 6: After Bhuiyadih Subarnarekha Burning Ghat and Bistupur Parvati Ghat, the third electric crematorium will be built at Moharda in Birsanagar. For this, JNAC (Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee) has floated a tender worth Rs 2.98 crore. The construction of the electric crematorium will be completed in 27 months.
JNAC special officer Krishna Kumar said that a crematorium will be built on the banks of Subarnarekha river in Moharda. There, a pucca ghat has already been built by JNAC on government land. There is no problem of land in the construction of the crematorium. The tender process for the construction of the crematorium will be completed by January. After this, the target is to complete the construction by March-2023.
 In the first phase, an electric crematorium will be built in Moharda. After this, the option of cremation with LPG will also be considered, so that this option can be used in case of electric furnace failure or power failure. For this, two furnaces will be set up on 10000 square feet of land. After the construction of electric crematorium at Moharda, the load of Subarnarekha Burning Ghat will be reduced.
