Jamshedpur, Sept. 20: Adityapur resident Rahul Kumar Gupta has been selected to represent Indian Handball team for 28th Independence Cup handball championship to be held at Tashkent, Uzbekistan from 18th September to 24th September 2019. This was informed by secretary of Jharkhand State Handball Association Khurshid khan. Rahul Kumar has also been appointed as the captain of the team. Rahul who has Jharkhand in the national championship left for Amritsar from there he will fly for Uzbekistan.
On being selected for the national team Dr. Pradeep Kumar Balmuchu, President of Jharkhand State Handball Association, secretary Khurshid khan, treasurer Firoz Khan, Indian coach Poonam Roy, chairman Md. Sarfraz, referee Hassan Imam Mallick, Tarique Azhar, Wasi ul Hassan congratulated him.
