Jamshedpur, April 27: Mohit Gupta, a student of DAV Public School, Bistupur, secured a score of 325 out of 360 in the IIT-JEE Mains 2017 to become the state topper of Jharkhand.
�It is my dream to study Computer Science at IIT Bombay and I want to do even better in IIT JEE Advance. My performance is an outcome of hard work and dedication� said Mohit.
Mohit�s father Krishna Chandra Sahu is a teacher in government school while his mother Rina Devi is a homemaker. He never counted hours while studying because he felt that one should give as much of efforts as one can. Mohit was always consistent and dedicated when it came to studying, and this has helped him achieving an All India Rank of 53, said his elated parents.
�My parents have always been a constant support. Apart from them, I would like to thank all my teachers who have helped me achieve this, especially Vikas Tank Sir from Prerna Classes, who has been a great mentor to me� Mohit was quoted saying.
Mohit earlier resided in Chandil, a sub-division of Sarailkela-Kharswan district before he joined DAV Public School, Bistupur, in class XI. He is awaiting his class XII board exam results.
As per his parents and relatives, Mohit was always a bright student who wanted to score anything above 300 in IIT-JEE Mains.
Even though he feels happy after scoring so much, he wants to do even better in the IIT -JEE Advance.
Other than preparing for his dream to study at IIT Bombay, Mohit�s passion lies in cricket.
