Jamshedpur, December 26: The Tata Steel Sports Department is introducing a modern, QR-based Access Control System across the JRD Tata Sports Complex to enhance security, streamline member validation, and ensure that only eligible members gain access to the facilities. This initiative marks a major step toward digitizing and strengthening visitor management at one of India’s most iconic sports complexes.
The new system will be operational from January 1, 2026 and will apply to all categories of users—Training Centre trainees, Recreational Members, and Pay-and-Play users. Each member will now be required to carry a unique QR code, available under their user profile on the jrdsportscomplex.in. The QR may be accessed directly from the mobile browser, saved as a screenshot, or printed for convenience.
Upon arrival at the JRD Tata Sports Complex, members must scan their QR code at either the Main Gate or Gate No. 8. Security personnel equipped with QR readers will validate active membership in real time. Certain high-traffic facilities—including Swimming Pool, Steelym Gym, Bodyline Gym, and Badminton Training Centre—will require an additional scan before entry, as guided by the security team.
To ensure accuracy, members must log in to the website and verify that their name, membership category, and photograph are correctly displayed. Any discrepancies may be reported to office.headsports@tatasteel.com. General support will also be available at the JRD Help Desk at Account Section, from Mon–Fri: 10 AM–12 PM and 4 PM–6 PM.
Members are reminded that:
- All users must carry their QR code at all times to access any facility.
- Emails confirming membership are notconsidered valid proof at the gate.
- Physical membership cards will remain valid only till December 31, 2025, after which they will be discontinued.
