Jamshedpur, Sept. 11: The Jharkhand High Court has granted permission for the operation of Hotel Alcor hotel from September 15. As per the orders, all the sealed offices of the hotel will be reopened by the district administration.
President of Jharkhand Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, Sardar Shailendra Singh said that the whole Sikh society was against the injustice done to Rajiv Dugal in the name of lockdown violation.
He said that the High Court has also accepted this in this important decision given today. The Dugal family has lost crores due to the closure of the hotel, as not only the hotels but also the four corporate offices of their company were sealed.
It is worth mentioning that Jamshedpur police on April 26, 2020 sealed The Alcor Hotel under Bistupur police station after it was found violating the lockdown norms and running its spa, bar and bakery.

The matter came to light on April 25 when six businessmen were found partying inside the bar located on the second floor. While three of them managed to escape, three others were detained and later released.
Those who welcomed this decision include CGPC President Mahendra Singh, Vice President Harvinder Singh Mantu, Central Stree Satsang, Akali Dal, Naujawan Sabha and various gurdwara committees of the state.
Leading industrialist and owner of Alcor Hotel, Rajiv Singh Dugal had also appealed to the administration to open the sealing of his hotel and allow him to work independently in his companies located there.
His family has been in Jamshedpur since 1967 and they have been running many industries for the last 45 years. He used to provide employment to 2.5 thousand people only in JMT. In Jamshedpur, his image was that of a clean entrepreneur, but a recent incident has tarnished his image. If the police had given him an opportunity to present his case a little, he might have been satisfied with it. This was the first incident in the country when the entire hotel or establishment was sealed for so-called ‘crime’ in a room.
