Jamshedpur: The court on Friday rejected the bail pleas of six accused, including the leading hotelier owner Rajiv Dugal, for violating the lockdown rules and operating a sex trade racket at Hotel Alcor under Bistupur police station area.
Principal District and Sessions Judge Manoj Prasad, while hearing the bail pleas of Rajiv Singh Duggal, railway contractor Rajesh Mangotia alias Laddu Mangotia, Rajat Jaggi, Deepak Agarwal, Rahul Agarwal, and Sharad Poddar, accused of operating a prostitution trade in the hotel during lockdown.
Significantly, the hearing on the application was completed on Thursday. The court reserved order on the verdict for today. A case diary was also sought from the police. After the bail application was rejected by the Principal District and Sessions Judge, the accused will now have to file an application in the Jharkhand High Court. This means that the accused will have to wait even longer to get bail.
