Jamshedpur, Sept 10: Young chess players from Jamshedpur, Dishita Dey and Adhiraj Mitra, showcased their talent at the 38th National Under-13 Chess Championship 2025, held in Goa from September 3 to 9.
In the Girls Under-13 category, Dishita Dey scored 7.5 points in 11 rounds, securing the 14th position and winning a cash award of Rs 6,000.
Meanwhile, in the Open Under-13 category, Adhiraj Mitra delivered a strong performance, scoring 8 points in 11 rounds to claim the 15th position. He too received a cash prize of Rs 6,000.
The achievements of both players were confirmed by N.K. Tiwary, General Secretary, East Singhbhum District Chess Association (ESDCA).
