Jamshedpur, Jan 21: Jamshedpur’s active caseload has been decreasing continuously and stands at 126 on Thursday, January 21, as per data released by East Singhbhum health department.
This constitutes a paltry 3.54 percent of total positive cases so far. This is made possible by daily recoveries outnumbering daily new cases. Against 23 people who recovered in 24-hour window, Jamshedpur could report only 5 new cases.
No COVID-19 death has been reported in the East Singhbhum district as the death toll remains at 375. Active cases have also dipped below 130 mark in the district.
On Thursday, East Singhbhum district reported 5 corona positive cases while 23 people recovered of the virus.
The new positives in Jamshedpur took the Coronavirus tally to 17954. 23 people recovered of the virus on Thursday taking the total recovery to 17453 while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 126.
East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 190578 test per million in the district. The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 97.24% while the mortality rate is 2.09 %.
So far in Jamshedpur 515292 samples have been collected out of which 507318 have been tested and 489364 have turned out to be negative.
