By Manpreet Singh Bhatia

Jamshedpur: Steel city has proved its mettle all over the world, be it in sports, education, entertainment, Bollywood or any other field. Right from Saurabh Tiwary, Varun Aaron in cricket, Deepika Kumari in Archery, Bollywood singer Shilpa Rao, Director Imtiaz Ali, Actress Tanushree Dutta and the list goes on.

All of them have made a name for themselves in their respective field and have done Jamshedpur proud. If we ask who has been the most successful of the lot and the person who stands out from the list, without doubt the answer will be Bollywood director Imtiaz Ali who has given back to back hits to the industry.

Starting from Socha Na Tha in 2005, Jab We Met, Love Aaj Kal, Rockstar and the most recent Highway all his films have fared well at the box office. His 2007 film, Jab We Met, was a runaway hit in India.

Now Imtiazs brother Arif Ali of Jamshedpur is all set to rock Bollywood with his debut film as a director Lekar Hum Deewana Dil. Talking to The Avenue Mail Mansoor Ali father of Imtiaz Ali said that as a director this is Arifs debut film and will release on July 4. The promo of the film was released on May 8.

Ali said that it is a romantic film starring Ranbir Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khans cousin Armaan Jain as a lead actor who is also making his debut in Bollywood. Grandson of showman Raj Kapoor and son of Reema Jain, Armaan Jain will be alongside southern babe Deeksha Seth who also marks her first film alongside Armaan, added Ali.

An entertainer for the youth by the youth, Lekar Hum Deewana Dil, is all about making mistakes and growing up as it takes audiences through the journey of two friends who take decisions, face consequences and learn from them.

It reflects the act first, think later sentiments of todays youth and how relationships fail over unrealistic expectations. Music has been given by AR Rehman and the movie has been shot at location of Chhattisgarh and Goa.

Sajids Banana to hit floors in October

Mansoor Ali further talking about his son Sajid Ali who is also making his debut as a director with the film Banana which was shot at Jamshedpur, said that the film is all set to release in October. The film has been produced by John Abraham is totally based on Jamshedpur.

Imtiaz working on Tamasha
Imtiaz Ali is all set to kick-start Tamasha (earlier titled as Window Seat) with Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. For someone who has worked with both actors before in Rockstar and Love Aaj Kal respectively, one waits to see what the director has in plans for Tamasha.

The film is still in its pre-production phase. It is very much clear that the brother trio Imtiaz, Sajid and Arif are looking to rule Bollywood in times to come.
