Jamshedpur’s active Covid cases rise to 25 with 6 new infections

Jamshedpur, Oct 26: Covid-19 is once again on the rise in Jamshedpur. On Tuesday, six people were reported positive taking the total active cases in the city to 25. Two cases were reported from Mango and one each from Telco, Kadma, Baridih, and Bistupur. With sudden rise in cases, health department is on its toes and started screening of patients.  

Civil Surgeon Dr. AK Lal informed that 5765 samples were collected on Tuesday of which 5065 were tested.

One positive case has come up against 3769 RTPCR test. Of the 314 TrueNat samples tested 5 were found positive.  

If this trend continues, then the third wave of Coronavirus cannot be ruled out.

With Diwali and Chhath round the corner people need to be extra cautious else it might prove to be super spreader.

The Coronavirus tally in Jamshedpur has risen to 51979.

With six fresh recoveries on Tuesday, a total number of 50,896 patients have been discharged since the breakout while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 25.

Recovery rate is 97.93% while mortality rate is 2.04 %.

East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 647536 tests per million in the district. 

So far in Jamshedpur 1731649 samples have been collected out of which 1723741 have been tested and 1671762 have turned out to be negative.
