Jamshedpur: YUVA leads campaign against gender-based violence

Jamshedpur: Youth Unity for Voluntary Action (YUVA), in collaboration with Women Gaining Ground Consortium and CREA, New Delhi, organized a participation ceremony at Cheshire Home, Sundernagar, Jamshedpur, as part of the 16-day campaign against gender-based violence.

The event, held on the occasion of World Disability Day, aimed to promote inclusivity and raise awareness about gender-based violence against women with disabilities. The theme of the campaign was “Visible and Invisible, Everyone’s Count is Equal.”

During the ceremony, people with disabilities expressed their feelings and experiences through posters, songs, and dance performances. They shared their struggles, aspirations, and demands for equal opportunities and inclusion.

The event was attended by people with disabilities from Potka block, along with their caregivers. They appreciated the opportunity to participate in the ceremony and share their experiences.

The winners of the competition were awarded gifts by the organization. Anjali Bose, Advisor, Women’s Cell, emphasized the importance of providing opportunities for people with disabilities to showcase their talents and creativity.
