Jamshedpur, Mar 18: An unfortunate road accident near Tata Pigments under Jugsalai police station has claimed the life of 21-year-old Ankit Kumar Singh, a resident of Bagbera Ganesh Nagar. The incident occurred late on Sunday night, with the family reporting the matter to the police on Monday morning.
Ankit, who was on leave from his job in Madhya Pradesh, had returned home recently. His father, Kanhaiya Singh, recounted that Ankit left home around 10 pm on Sunday night, indicating he would return shortly. However, within 20 minutes, they received a distressing call informing them of the accident.
According to Kanhaiya Singh, Ankit and his friend were riding a bike, with Ankit’s friend at the helm. Unfortunately, near the pigment gate, the bike veered out of control and toppled onto the road. Tragically, an unidentified vehicle approaching from behind collided with Ankit, inflicting severe injuries.
Both Ankit and his companion were rushed to TMH for urgent medical attention. Despite efforts, Ankit succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
