Chakravarty, a member of Lal Building Sarvajanik Durga Puja Committee, slipped into the deep waters and started drowning. Not caring for their lives, the two youths jumped into the river and saved Varun, said Das.

The felicitation programme was organized by city-based social outfit ‘Shaurya’. Das gave shawls and saplings to Nitin and Gaurav and praised them wholeheartedly. He said the district administration should also felicitate the youths for their bravery.
