Jamshedpur, July 16. A young man died due to drowning in the pond located near the Theme Park under Govindpur police station at one o’clock on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as 24-year-old Shivcharan Kisku, a resident of Dhua Colony. The local people informed the police about the incident. Here, after getting the information, the Govindpur police reached the spot and with the help of local divers started trying to get the body of the young man out. Shiv Charan used to earn his living by working as a daily wage worker.
It is told that at one o’clock in the afternoon he had gone to bathe in the pond. Meanwhile, he went into the deep water of the pond and started drowning. The local people tried to save him but could not save him. The police is investigating the matter
